The Wail of a Mosquito
Born to same mother,
Among many a siblings,
I'm the brother
She is the sister.
A few days together
Huddled in the water
Soon we left each other
I'm a mosquito brother.
She is an ogress:
A vicious blood sucker;
They remark of her,
A real vampire!
Isn't that incredible?
A suck of sap
Of some wild plant
Ends my hunger
How! You may wonder.
All that besides,
Fate is such,
That we're much alike,
Hence a heavy swat inevitable.
For anther's sin
I risk my poor life,
She is the vector
I'm the poor brother.
Her vicious sharp stings
Brings cruel death upon
Everyone on earth alike,
How I hate it! You may not know.
By strange twist of fate
We shared the same tummy;
By whose fate was it,
Will someone tell me?
